Those who reject the Divinity of Jesus Christ are quick to tell us that Jesus never actually said "I AM GOD". If He did not make this claim, would it mean that He is not the Lord God Almighty?
What if Scripture itself says that Jesus is God? What if His divinity is demonstrable through Old Testament prophecy that has been fulfilled and confirmed in the New Testament?
And what happens if the unbelievers are not correct when they tell us Jesus never said "I AM GOD"? What if He actually did say "I AM GOD" and a whole lot more? It would mean the "Mantra" of the unbelievers would be dashed to the ground like glass that shattered into pieces at their feet. They would find themselves standing in front of the Lord God Himself, and what had been hidden in the depths of their hearts would be revealed for all the world to see. They would be faced with a decision to receive His mercy or His judgment.
When the Lord was confronted by those who rejected His Divinity they brought before Him a demoniac who was blind and mute. Jesus cured the possessed man but they still rejected His Divinity and actually claimed that Jesus drove out demons by the power of Beelzebul. Jesus turned that charge around on them and said, "Behold, the Kingdom of God is upon you". (Matthew 12:28)
This trial will speak to any individual, and to all religions that do not accept the Divinity of Jesus Christ.

The only thing I can say, is - Jesus Christo taught love to everything; person, place or thing through out all and I mean, ALL eternities!
ReplyDeleteHello Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to write.
Yes, He did. But not all love Him as HE deserves, and that includes EVERY ONE of us; you, me, without exception. And, as you know, there are consequences for that.
So then, although I would fundamentally agree with what you said at a certain level, there is a whole lot more to be said regarding what is required of us.
I am sure that you would agree there is only "one eternity" and that we do not "love Satan and the demons" which are held in existence by God.
But going beyond the semantic, we cannot EVER lose sight of the fact that we are not "Pre-determined" beings. We have a free will. And we cannot content ourselves or be seduced to say that "as long as I am a good person" that is all that Christ requires of me. What defines a "good person"? Can we define what a "good person" is without definitive Christian doctrine? No!
We live in a day of "religious relativism" and I for one will resist such an evil concept with all of my heart. It makes a mockery of Christ and all of Christian doctrine and renders revelation without value. And in the end those who align themselves with relativism align themselves with agnosticism which also denies that we can know anything definitive about God.
There is an infinite difference between the "Natural Law" and "Revealed Truth", and on the flip side of your post, there are many who have resentment that to be a "good person" requires something of us that goes beyond the "Natural Law" and into the realm of what Christ not only asks of us, but in fact demands of us.
God Bless
