This Series of Trials takes place in a Court of Law where representatives for Protestantism will defend the claim that the "Bible Alone" is the "sole authority" in Christianity. And they will battle it out with representatives of the "Catholic Church" who will demonstrate that ultimate moral and religious authority is found only in the Catholic Church. These trials will cover a wide range of subjects, and each side must prove their case using only Scripture and very limited historical evidence. Some readers will be surprised to find that Secularists, Pagans, and others will join with Protestants to form an alliance against the Church, so what is at stake in this Series of Trials is nothing short of sensational!

In fact, these trials will challenge readers whose religious conviction is built upon error and ego, but the humble of heart will be liberated from error if they find they have been wrong. For others, this Series will confirm and deepen the Catholic faith they already cherish.

In the first trial, Catholic representatives must prove that Jesus Christ established only the Catholic Church. They must prove that the visible and spiritual community, formally established and organized in this world as a society by Jesus Christ Himself, subsists fully in the Catholic Church alone, and that it is governed by the Successor of St. Peter and those Bishops in communion with him. And if Catholic representatives prove their case for the Catholic Church it would mean that, in good conscience, Protestants would have no choice but to embrace the Catholic Church.

And Protestant representatives have never been forced to explain how and why so many of their Christian denominations came into existence to begin with. They have never really been forced to account for all the division within their own ranks to this very day. And why is this the case? Because Protestants have been very effective in keeping the spotlight off themselves by rebelling with one voice against the authority of the Catholic Magisterium. But all of that is about to end.

As you go through this series of trials you will find yourself living vicariously through someone in the courtroom. At times you may see yourself on the witness stand, and at other times you may see yourself as one of the attorneys, or one of the jurors. But one way or the other, your religious convictions will be indelibly affected by the facts that will be presented in these trials.

  1. Wow, a couple thoughts about the Catholic Church on trial. Thanks for posting this btw , and no I haven't read the book yet , I've only heard of this through askacatholic.com and catholicseries.com .

Luke 22:29-30 "And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

The Apostles (and their Apostolic successors) , have all been royally conferred a kingdom which means they have the authority to judge(they are judges) between the twelve tribes of Israel , I take it this means ALL christians and believers? I am a simple catholic and by no means a scholar . I think in any court of Law it would be unwise to disobey the Judges rule it's contempt of court . How dare they!!

  2. Jackie,

Thanks for taking the time to write.

You summed it up beautifully. The Catholic Church is the anti-dote for Religious Relativism (the denial of absolute truths in matters of doctrine). In fact, without the authority of the Catholic Church there is no doctrinal certainty in anything Christian. All falls to the concept of the "Bible Alone" (Sola Scriptura).

One needs only to ask "Where is doctrinal unity to be found in the land of those who believe in the authority of the Bible Alone?" There is none! Sola Scriptura can never represent authentic Christianity as evidenced by the fact that it gives birth to endless division . In fact, Sola Scriptura aligns itself with agnosticism in that it can only end in the denial of doctrinal certainty.

    Prayerful Regards

  3. Mr LeBlanc:

I'm a protestant and like you, I'm not an expert (you identify your self as a layman) but just a humble follower of Christ, just Christ.

Let us focus on preaching his message of Love and Salvation to the world.

  4. Hello Juan,

The only question I would pose to you is this. There are literally tens of thousands of Non-Catholic Christians who believe the Bible is the only authority and accept no authority outside of the Bible.

Among these groups there is division over every single doctrine in Christianity, including who Jesus is and what is His nature. And, with each person who has a different interpretation of the Bible you will hear the claim that they are guided by the Holy Spirit, that they have put on the mind of Christ, that they have rightly divided the Word of God, that they have compared Scripture verse to Scripture verse, that they have understood what is essential for salvation.

But, the fact is, for each person who makes these claims they must allow the other person who believes in the Bible alone the same right and authority to make the claims that tell them that they are right, Juan, and that you are wrong. What makes you right and them wrong, or them right and you wrong? Then, multiply that times as many people who believe in the Bible alone as you do, and now you have the same problems times as many people as believe that the Bible is the only authority in Chrisitianity.

Now, since none of you accept an authority outside of the Bible, who or where is the authority to determine which of you is the right one? It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to determine that, and that actually aligns your understanding of Christianity with agnosticism which denies that anything in Christianity can be known with certainty. Yours is a position of religious relativism and that is all that it is.

So then, when you speak of being a humble follower of Christ, and preaching His message of love and salvation to the world, whose interpretation of His message, and according to who's understanding of loving with the TRUTH since you cannot determine who is right to begin with?

Without the Catholic Church there is no such thing as Christianity.

If you wish to understand your plight and the nature of the Catholic Church in more detail, I would suggest you obtain the 1st book in my trial series. You can find it at:
