The Bible Alone vs. the Virgin Mary

It's a bold question but it must be asked because many believe it to be true. Is the "Catholic Image of Mary" a true representation of Mary? Or, is she actually a "Pagan Goddess" that was taken captive by the Catholic Church and "reconstructed" in order to oppress women?

Feminists, Protestants, and Pagans did not expect to come together to form an alliance against the very person of the Blessed Virgin Mary, but facts will speak for themselves. And given the level of tension in the Catholic Church over feminists' demands that the Church "ordain women", this trial will bring out what has been hidden in the feminists agenda for years, namely, a deep association with paganism.

In short, this trial will bring center stage for all to see the battle between "The seed of the Woman" and "The seed of Satan" in Technicolor. And colorful it will be. Facts will be demonstrated that will get under the skin of those who do not want their schemes exposed to the light of day. There will be insights into motivation and a Scriptural analysis of the most heated issues surrounding Marian doctrine. Assertions that women were ordained in the early Church will be explored, and Protestant accusations that Catholic rituals and doctrine are rooted in paganism will be flushed out.

And there should be no surprise to discover how important it was for feminists to strike first at marriage and the "evil nature of men" before they could attack Churchmen. But, perhaps most shocking is the ultimate reason that feminists attack Marian doctrine! Do they go beyond their demands of sexual license and independence? Does it all come down to a satanic attack on the Divinity of Jesus Christ and the inner life of the Most Holy Trinity?

The impact of this trial is far reaching, and it is impossible that it will proceed without great contention. But it will become unmistakably clear that the Dogmas of the "Immaculate Conception" and the "Perpetual Virginity of Mary" are seen by feminists as a form of rape by the "Patriarchy in Rome" and an obstacle to their sexual demands. And we will see if Mary's "heterosexual virginity" is a fortress which stands against their ultimate demand that lesbian and homosexual lifestyles be validated by the Church.

In addition, there are many who felt the Church had abandoned its mission to convert all men and women to the Church since the days of Vatican II, but Pope Benedict XVI made it clear these people were mistaken in his recent "Clarification Note" on the "ecumenical mission of the Church". This clarification was like a shock-wave that went out from the epicenter in Rome to the world of Protestantism and non-Christian religions. And now, feminists and Protestants have threatened the "ecumenical position of the Church". They tell us that any future Marian dogmas will be the global death nail of ecumenism and the destruction of 40 years of "progress" since Vatican II. The mere thought that a Pope would actually consider pronouncing Mary to be the "Co-Redemptrix, Co-Mediatrix, and Advocate" of mankind as Dogma sends a chill down their spine.

Perhaps the best visual to depict the battle between the Church and the alliance (Protestants, feminists, and pagans) is to consider the difference between the "Ark of the New Covenant" and the "Ark of the Coven".

  3. Dear Sir,

As an Evangelical Christian, let me proudly say this : I LOVE MARY MUCH MORE THAN ANY Catholic. In fact i think that she is probably the most obedient woman mentioned in the Holy Scriptures. Any level headed Evangelical/Protestant would agree to this.

Her song of praise in Luke 1:46-55 is definitely an epitome of worship....

However I firmly believe that JESUS alone is to be trusted for Salvation

A solid Scriptural warrant with the authority present in (1 Timothy 2:5, Acts 4:12, John 3:15-18, John 1:12, Matthew 11:28-30, John 10:9, Acts 16:29-31, John 14:6, John 8:24, Luke 11:27-28 & Hebrews 4:16) is the reason for my faith.

Even Bible versions endorsed by the vatican like the Vulgate, Douay-Rheims, & the RSV(used by many Catholic apologists) have the same translation as protestant editions.

I understand the following questions will run through your mind:

Yes.. i understand that the following questions (or similar ones) may be running through your mind even as you read this and I'll answer them:

Q:Why is it you protestants/ Evangelicals do not belive that mary was sinless?

A: In The Gospel according to St. Luke... This is what Mary sings in Chapter 1 after She's been chosen to bring forth Jesus:

And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, - (Luke 1 :46-47)

Did you ever wonder why does she need a saviour if she was born sinless as we've been thought in Catechism class.. Only sinners need a saviour not righeous people....

    But wait there's more....

And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are outside seeking You. But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?” And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.” -Mark 3:32-35

And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from

the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”
But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” -Luke 11 : 27-28

    Now that's a death-blow to the 'Hail Mary' & 'I Confess'

And furthermore the greatest human being was John the Baptist NOT Mary:

“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. -Matthew:11:11

    Q) What about When Jesus turned water to wine? Didn't Jesus Listen to Mary?

I'll give you the Scripture reference (John 2: 1-5); Look at it very Closely

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”

Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.

”Did you notice the last underlined statement in bold? It mens that instead of approaching Jesus through Mary We can approach HIM DIRECTLY
As it is written:"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need" -Hebrews 4:16

  4. {continued from before}

Q:What about the incident where Jesus asked John to take care of Mary (or vice-versa) as He was dying on the cross:

You must be referring to John 19:26-27
"He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 2 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home."

Yes.. a very touching incident indeed. However if you noticed that Jesus always addressed Mary as "Woman" rather than 'Mother'. even in the earlier verse. what it means to say that He's going back to heaven and he entrusts Apostle John to take care of her.

Then again after that there is no mention of Mary again except in the first chapter in the book of Acts. (the woman in Revelation 12 is CANNOT be Mary even ithe catholic perspective because that woman had labour pain & as we all know labour pain is God's punishment on womankind {Refer Genesis 3:16}) We both know that Catholic Dogma says that Mary was born sinless

In addition There is no special power/ability attributed to her in all of the Bible..Please don't get me wrong. I'm NOT trying to demean Catholicism and promote Protestantism..

What I'm trying to say that Christianity as a religion will NOT save anyone neither as Catholicism nor as Protestantism

However CHRIST JESUS & the standards prescribed in HIS WORD (THE BIBLE) can and will save us all..Religion comes from men, Spirituality is from God. Religion is NOT supposed to exist

Christianity is NOT a religion but a PERSONAL relationship between Jesus Christ and us

In conclusion i would like to say that We're not called to follow a religious leader, religious denomination ideology philosophy, etc... but ONLY Called to follow Christ...

    God Blesss You

    Regards

  5. Hello Anonymous,

Thanks for taking the time to write. It's great that you love Mary but in truth you cannot say you love Mary more than any Catholic for you cannot know their heart as it is before God. It's great to see your passion about what you have written as well. I would recommend that you read my book on the Virgin Mary. All that you have questioned and commented on is dealt with in detail.

    God Bless

  6. As a Catholic who has lost her way from going to evangelical church to studying with the Jehovah witnesses and thinking of taking bible study with baptists because I feel the Catholic Church is not forceful enough when it comes to sexual moral ,do you recommend a book to read

  7. Please come home and be a force for good in the Church. Catholics leave the Church and non-Catholic Christians refuse to enter the Catholic Church because of it members who are sinful, very sinful at times. My question to you is this: Should I leave Christianity because you are a sinner? No, I shouldn't, nor should you leave the only Church that Christ established just because there are sinners in it. Welcome to the fallen human race. We are all sinners. Come home to the Church, come home to confession and receive the Lord in the Most Holy Eucharist. That is where you will find peace. I will pray for you, please pray for me.

Please read books #1 and 2 in my series. I pray they will be a light for you.

    God Bless
